Terms of service
These terms are the agreement between you and us for the hosted Suit at suit.humantech.ch. Please read them; by creating an account you accept them.
Who we are
Suit is run by Massimo Brivio, trading as Humantech, Zurich, Switzerland (see the Impressum). Write to us at hey@humantech.ch.
The service
Suit matches people by the criteria you choose: employees to tasks, mentees to mentors, guests to tables. You need an account, with an email address you can receive mail at, and you must be old enough to accept these terms where you live. One account is for one person; keep your password to yourself. What you do with API tokens you create is done in your name.
Free trial and subscription
- Suit is free for the first 14 days. You give a payment method when you start the trial; nothing is charged during it. If you don't cancel before it ends, your subscription starts and the first payment is taken. The trial comes with your first subscription only: if you subscribe again later, the first payment is taken when you do.
- You choose monthly or yearly billing. The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, at the price shown when you subscribed, until you cancel.
- Prices are shown on the pricing page in your currency, with VAT or sales tax included or added as is usual where you live.
- If we change the price, we email you at least 30 days before it applies, and it applies only from your next renewal. You can cancel before then.
Paddle, our reseller
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders: it sells you the subscription, takes the payment, charges the tax and sends the receipts and invoices. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries about payments and handles returns. Paddle's buyer terms apply to the purchase.
Cancelling
You can cancel any time in Suit, under Settings → Manage subscription. You keep full use of Suit until the end of the period you've paid for, and nothing more is charged. After that, your account becomes read-only: your projects, participants and matchings stay there to read and to export, until you subscribe again or delete them. Your intake forms stop taking answers. Refunds are covered by our refund policy.
Your content
What you put in Suit is yours. You give us only the permission we need to store it, compute your matchings and show them to you, and we don't use it for anything else, as the privacy policy explains. You can take it all with you at any time, as spreadsheets or through Suit's API, and delete it with your account.
Your participants' data
The people you match are your participants, and you're responsible for their data: that you may collect and use it, that you tell them what you do with it, and that you delete it when you no longer need it. We store and process it only on your behalf and on your instructions, to give you Suit, as the privacy policy describes, and we keep it confidential.
- Ask only for what the matching needs. Don't use Suit for sensitive data such as health, religion or political views.
- An intake form needs a privacy and consent text from you; write it so your participants know who you are, what you collect and why, and how to reach you.
- Answers to criteria compared by meaning are sent to an embeddings service, and addresses to OpenStreetMap, as the privacy policy lists. Tell your participants if you use those criteria.
- Email participants only about the matching they took part in.
Fair use
Don't use Suit to break the law or anyone's rights, to store what isn't yours to store, to send unwanted email, to attack or overload the service, to get at other people's accounts, or to resell access to it. If you do, we may suspend or close your account; except in urgent cases, we'll tell you first and give you the chance to take your data.
Availability
We work to keep Suit running and your data safe, with encrypted connections and daily backups, but we can't promise it will never be unavailable or never fail. Suit is updated from time to time; features may change.
If we stop offering Suit
We'll tell you at least 60 days ahead, refund the part of a payment that covers time after the end, and leave you the time to take your data. Suit is free software, so you can also run it yourself.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account any time in Settings. It's deleted at once with everything in it, and a subscription that would renew is cancelled at the same moment, so nothing more is charged.
Liability
As far as the law allows, we're liable only for damage we cause intentionally or through gross negligence, and not for indirect damage or lost profit. Otherwise our liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the damage. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer that can't be limited by contract.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, the new version is published here with a new date. If a change matters to you, we email you at least 30 days before it applies, and you can cancel before then.
Law and courts
These terms are governed by Swiss law. The courts of Zurich, Switzerland, have jurisdiction. If you're a consumer living elsewhere, you also keep the protection of the mandatory law of your country and can go to its courts.
